Pastor’s Update 4/4/2020

Good afternoon Temple family! I hope everyone is well. I have a few updates for you.

1) The governors shelter in place order does not prohibit pastors from travelling back and forth to their churches for ministry and broadcasting so we WILL be continuing our online services as planned. Huge relief!

2) Our ministry leaders have been working very hard to adapt to the current situation. Your Lifegroup leaders should have a video conference or conference call set up for you to join by now. Our CR ministry will be up and running as of tonight via ZOOM. If you would like to join that, please contact Jay Strickland for a link to the meeting. I would encourage everyone who can to check this out. It's a great way to be involved in CR from the comfort of your home and connect with the people there.   Children's ministries on Wednesday night have resumed via Facebook and they have some very exciting things going on! Please contact Chelsea Roberts or look her up on Facebook to join that group. Priscilla Illian has started up a children's Lifegroup on Sunday at 9:30AM. Contact her if you would like your child to join that. It will be conducted via ZOOM and will be password protected for your security. Our youth ministry will be conducting lifegroups via conference call on Sunday mornings at 9:30. Please contact LaDon or Melissa Harrell for access.

3) Eric and Lauri Butler requested to place our passion week cross out front as we do every year. We are very grateful for them!

4) We have agreed to participate in the Public Scripture Reading through the Colquitt County Pastors Fellowship and our scheduled reading time is Tuesday, April 7th from 4-7PM. Permission for us to do this has been granted by our municipality so we will carry on with other churches in this endeavor. Please visit tbcmoultrie.com to sign up for a 15 or 30 minute time slot! I'll need some help proclaiming Gods Word there :-) I have information/details regarding that and can text it to you until we get it posted publicly. There will be support there from the Pastors Association to make sure you are safe, things are sanitized and no one invades your 6ft sphere. It will be minimalist with very few people involved.

I want to thank you all for continuing to stay closely connected, for all your hard work in investing in the ministries of Temple through all of this. Thank you for continuing to give to the ministries of Temple through the website, text, mail and drop offs of your offerings. Thank you for recognizing worship and ministry doesn't stop when in-person services aren't possible. This is indicative of a strong, spiritual church that will weather this storm and whatever storms are ahead. I would also like to thank our Deacon ministry for their diligent service and leadership. Thank you Brandon Whitaker for your tireless efforts and service day AND night to Temple, to me personally and to the Lord. And most of all, let's thank our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, our great God and Savior for His provision, wisdom, love and mercy. Let's continue to move forward and walk by faith.
I'm so grateful for you all!

In Love and His Service,

Bro. Shane
