Temple Baptist Church Needs Your Help!

Image
Many of our volunteers and greeters are those that are in the category of “highly susceptible” to the effects of COVID-19. This includes being 65 years of age or older and/or those that have underlying health conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure, asthma, and other health issues.   If you do not fall in any of those categories we could really use your help when we start back with in-person services. If you are able to assist in volunteering, please fill out the volunteer form here:   https://tbc.breezechms.com/form/ipsv     THANK YOU! A Message About In-Person Services at Temple Baptist Church

Image
A Message About In-Person Services at Temple Baptist Church It is with great joy that we will be meeting in-person once again Sunday, May 24 th ! With guidance from the Whitehouse, CDC, the Georgia Governor's office and the Georgia Department of Public Health, we have put together a plan for keeping our members and visitors safe. The emergency response team at Temple has spent many hours and meetings developing a comprehensive plan to reopening in-person ministries and worship services. Some of these plans involve changes that are quite different than has ever been experienced at Temple Baptist Church. We understand you may not feel comfortable returning the first Sunday we begin in-person services and we understand. Our hope is that as you review the plan outlined you will keep an open heart and mind as it encompasses the church at large.  If you are 65 years of age or older, or have an underlying health condition, we ask that you do not attend in-person church services until afte...

Brother Terry’s Sabbatical

Image
Dear Temple Family,    I would like to address you all concerning Pastor Terry’s Sabbatical. At our most recent church leadership meeting on 5/4, one of the topics discussed was Bro. Terry’s return from his Sabbatical. I know the question on many members' minds is, “when”?    I know this question is simply due to our love and concern for him and the fact that we miss him.  In our meeting we remembered when Bro. Terry left for his Sabbatical, he wasn’t altogether sure how long he needed. He’d never taken one before and had no precedent. If each of us consider very difficult times in our lives, we can relate to how very difficult it would have been to make a definitive decision on how long it would take to heal and recover.     When he left, one of the last things we as leaders and membership told him was, “take the time you need to refocus, seek the Lord,  be restored and heal”. This remain...

Upcoming In-Person Service

Hello Temple family! We are excited to announce that we are in the planning phase of having our first in-person worship service. The Emergency Response Team met Monday night as planned and under the oversight of Dr Chris Bazal, we poured over a tremendous amount of information that has been made available to us from several organizations. Our plans are to have our first in-person service on Sunday May 24th. We will move this service to 11AM so that you will have time to attend your video Life Group and still make the service if you choose to attend. We have a protocol draft written at this time but we are sharing this document among team members for necessary changes and edits to make sure it fits our church and to make sure we cover all of our bases for your safety and well being. We will release this protocol to you upon completion, along with other emails and a video address before the 24th. Please keep in mind that this is new for all of us and t...
