Mission Opportunity for Temple Baptist Church to Support

From Zack Saunders, one of our members that will be leading a team to the Arabian Peninsula.


Dear Family and Friends,


From August 19-28, I will be leading a team from McLean Bible Church to partner with a campus ministry in the Arabian Peninsula to disciple and develop young Christian leaders from unreached areas. The team’s primary role will be supporting a student conference intended to deepen and strengthen the faith of student leaders who will leave the conference trained and equipped to reach the lost. I am also happy to announce that my wife Laura will be joining us, marking our first mission trip together!


Please consider being a part of this important work by donating funds to our trip. Each team member is asked to personally raise $2,300 which will not only cover the base costs of travel, food and lodging but will also allow us to fund the ministry mentioned above. All contributions for Global Outreach short-term mission teams are tax-deductible and non-refundable. Due to IRS stipulations, you (the donor)are acknowledging that you are releasing control of how this contribution will be utilized for the team. However, if the team is successful in raising their financial goal, all excess funds will be applied to either the needs directly related to the ministry of this trip or to fund additional mission needs within the Global Outreach ministry. In the unlikely event that a trip is canceled, funds raised by the team will help cover any cancellation costs for the trip. Any remaining funds will be donated to efforts in the country with the partnering ministry and/or help to fund additional needs within the Global Outreach ministry.

MISSION: 24-7 PRAYER ROOM

Temple Baptist Church, along with other Colquitt County churches, has been invited to participate in the new "MISSION: 24-7 PRAYER ROOM" vision. This is an international, interdenominational prayer movement with over 25,000 prayer rooms in 78 nations who share a vision to revive the church and bring the lost to Christ by the power of the Holy Spirit.  Colquitt County will kick off our involvement during Holy Week, Monday, March 25 at 12:00AM through Monday, April 1st, 12:00 AM. Temple has been asked to cover Thursday, March 28th, 12:00 AM until Friday, March 29, 12:00 AM. Thursday is the same day we are signed up for the Bible Reading on the Square. If you prefer, you can pray with someone during your chosen hour slot. The mission, going forward after Holy Week, is to hopefully keep the prayer room occupied every day with praying servants.
