Maribel Alvarado's mother's funeral

Maribel Alvarado's mother passed away over the weekend.  The funeral is today at Cobb. Visitation is at 1:00 with funeral at 2:00.

Karen Pittman Thompson (Stan's sister)

Karen has a growth in her mouth. A biopsy was done and sent to Augusta. It came back malignant. She has seen Dr. McAfee at Phoebe Cancer Center. She's had scans and will be having a PET scan on Monday.  They have set Karen up with a leading specialist for this type of cancer at the University of Florida Cancer Center. This is a pretty aggressive cancer. Karen and Steve will travel to Jacksonville this coming Wednesday for a consultation visit. She will have more information to share then. Please join the family in prayer for Karen. We know there is power in God's people praying for one another.
