Dear Temple Baptist Church Volunteers,
 
We hope this email fills you with excitement as we embark on a new chapter together. We are thrilled to announce a significant rebranding effort for our volunteer group at Temple Baptist Church! We believe this change will help us better serve our community and fulfill our mission to bring compassion, restoration, evangelism, and service to those in need.
 
Without further ado, we are proud to introduce the CARES team! CARES stands for Compassion in Action Restoring Evangelizing and Serving. It embodies our vision to be the hands and feet of Christ, demonstrating His love to all those we encounter. Our desire is to follow the teachings of Acts 1:8, becoming faithful witnesses in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and even to the ends of the earth.
 
As part of this exciting rebranding, we have designed brand new Temple Cares Team shirts that reflect our renewed mission and identity. The shirts are not only a symbol of our unity as a team but also a reminder of the impact we can make when we work together with love and selflessness.



We invite each of you to proudly wear the Temple Cares Team shirt as we go out into the world and spread the message of hope and love. By donning this shirt, we represent our commitment to serve others and live out the call to be Christ's witnesses in every corner of our lives.

Karen Pittman Thompson (Stan's sister)

Karen has a growth in her mouth. A biopsy was done and sent to Augusta. It came back malignant. She has seen Dr. McAfee at Phoebe Cancer Center. She's had scans and will be having a PET scan on Monday.  They have set Karen up with a leading specialist for this type of cancer at the University of Florida Cancer Center. This is a pretty aggressive cancer. Karen and Steve will travel to Jacksonville this coming Wednesday for a consultation visit. She will have more information to share then.
