Temple Baptist Church Updates

The menu for church this Wednesday night will be baked spaghetti, salad, toast and chocolate poke cake.   Please join us!   It is not too late to join the Women’s step study group that meet on Wednesdays. If you would like to join, contact Jenn Edmonds for more info.   SAVE THE MINISTRY DATE! Temple has been asked to host the Packer’s football team breakfast on Oct. 14 th . It’s a great opportunity to serve our community. Help is needed from 5:30am to 10am, so please text Betty Pittman at 429-3975.      We will be having our annual Fall Festival on October 26th. It will be from 6:30-8:30 pm. We will be taking up donations for individually wrapped candy and bagged chips! Also, there is a sign-up sheet for those who would like to run a booth or trunk!   The Wednesday Word Warriors are doing a canned food ministry. All proceeds will go to the food bank the week before Thanksgiving for those in need. Our goal is 250 item...

SHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!! DON'T TELL SHANE!!!!! This Sunday if you want to be involved....we are planning to sit in the splash zone, (in the seats close to the pulpi t) .  Some of us plan to slip on raincoats or shields as Shane  steps up to the pulpit to start the service, because of comments he made last Sunday about the front seats being empty because he spits when he preaches. (HA!HA!HA!)

From Zack Saunders, one of our members that will be leading a team to the Arabian Peninsula. Dear Family and Friends, From August 19-28, I will be leading a team from McLean Bible Church to partner with a campus ministry in the Arabian Peninsula to disciple and develop young Christian leaders from unreached areas. The team’s primary role will be supporting a student conference intended to deepen and strengthen the faith of student leaders who will leave the conference trained and equipped to reach the lost. I am also happy to announce that my wife Laura will be joining us, marking our first mission trip together! Please consider being a part of this important work by donating funds to our trip. Each team member is asked to personally raise $2,300 which will not only cover the base costs of travel, food and lodging but will also allow us to fund the ministry mentioned above.   Graduation Ceremony We will be having our graduation ceremony next Sunday the 22nd. Those being honored are: Karma Dennis, Justin Sinclair, Bella Buford, and Audrey Bazal.

All softball games on Monday nights are double headers. So the game times/information sent out before are both for tonight. Sorry for the confusion! A full schedule of the games will be sent out soon!
